It has undoubtedly been a roller coaster year for me. Between graduating, leaving my friends and family in New York to move to Amsterdam then figuring out how to survive in this strange country has been a true test of my personal strengths. I'd like to think that I have made it work pretty well despite hating my job (don't we all though?), life is good. Unfortunately Colin and I won't be heading State side to celebrate Thanksgiving the traditional way with family, turkey and friends but I would still like to take a minute to give thanks for all of the wonderful things in my life because at the end of the day I have my health, friends and family...what more could you ask for?My friends stood by me over the years, they have watched and helped me grow up, despite some of the bad choices I may have made and I love them for every bit of it. My sister has always put up with my immature ways and somehow managed to help me get on a steady life path. (It really wasn't that hard, I just copied what she did...wink), "Love Ya!" My parents, well as most of you know, they have had even more of a roller coaster ride year than I. I am thankful that this year marks the official end and begins a new chapter; they can finally move on to make new and separate lives from each other. I am unbelievably thankful they both somehow made the best of their messy situation and hope the next year will bring them both peace and the good lives they both deserve. Last, but of course not least, Colin. I don't know what I would do without him. He is always my biggest supporter and puts up with all of my bitching and I love him more and more everyday- even if he doesn't do the dishes. Oh, and thank you to all of my new friends here in Amsterdam for helping me along the way, god knows I've needed lots of it :) Colin and I are off to Barcelona tomorrow night, sans a tummy full of Turkey but I think I will settle for some Tapas *pronounced with a lisp* and a little sunshine. Hope all of you out there have a wonderful holiday. See you for Christmas!!
What are you thankful for this year?

Live ya Lauren! Thanks for being such a sweet friend! I'm thankful to have you in Amsterdam!
