I've had my trusty sewing machine for 6 months now and all I have to show for it are minor mends to Colin's clothes, a copied scarf from American Apparel and a laptop holder; which was more of a pain in the ass than a help. Being that a long rainy winter is upon us here in Amsterdam and I've turned into more of a homebody than before, I opted to try and make the best out of my down time, instead of spending my time watching re-runs of Sex and The City on demand. Case in point, the new pillows I made on a random Monday I had off. I bought the fabric awhile ago on a trip to Ikea but only just put it to use. I know, I know what you're thinking...'how hard can a couple of pillows be?' And I do agree with you but, baby steps, people! A gals gotta start somewhere, no? The process is pretty self-explanatory if you took home-ec in middle school so I won't bore you with the deals. I'm hoping to get more and more adventurous with my creations so keep checking back....Below are the finished results!
